A noodle factory making Fujinomiya yakisoba noodles since 1948
Men no Kanouya is a noodle factory in Takara-cho, Fujinomiya, founded in 1948. It is one of the four noodle makers in the city officially recognised by the Fujinomiya Yakisoba Society (Kanouya, Marumo Foods, Soga-men and Sano-men), and the steamed noodles produced here are used by many yakisoba restaurants around town as well as sold in local supermarkets and souvenir shops. The workshop uses spring water from Mt. Fuji and aims for noodles with the natural sweetness of wheat and a firm, springy bite.

Good to know before you go
This is a factory outlet, not a restaurant, and there is no space to eat yakisoba on site. Think of it as a stop for souvenirs or for the ingredients to cook Fujinomiya yakisoba at home. Opening hours are 9:00 to 17:00, closed Wednesdays and Sundays (as of 2026), with parking for six to seven cars. Travel websites sometimes list different hours or closing days, so checking the official site before you set out is the safest bet.
Getting there from our hotel
Our hotel sits close to the Fuji IC exit of the Tomei Expressway in Fuji City. From there it is about 9km towards Fujinomiya via the Nishi-Fuji Road, roughly 20 minutes by car. From the Shin-Fuji IC exit of the Shin-Tomei Expressway it is about 15 minutes on the same road. By public transport, the shop is about a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Fujinomiya Station on the JR Minobu Line, making it an easy addition to a day of sightseeing in Fujinomiya.
